Job Description

Job Purpose: Manage, plan, and monitor forensic auditing, conduct illegal/irregular activity investigations and facilitate the litigation process, design and coordinate campaigns to deter stakeholders from engaging in economic crimes and irregularities in line with regulations.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage, review, and monitor the development and implementation of the Fraud, Corruption and Risk Management strategy to implement a fraud risk assessment and deterrent action plan to minimise potential fraud and corruption cases taking place in the company.
  • Manage, develop and review of Fraud and Corruption policies and procedures and champion, promote and drive campaigns to create awareness of fraud and corruptions management policies and procedures to deter stakeholders from engaging in economic crimes and irregularities.
  • Manage, coordinate, and conduct investigations into irregularities and assist litigation in preparing the file for evidence.
  • Manage, develop, implement, and review investigation methodologies and processes to conduct the potential fraud/corruption investigations to identify guilty parties and to produce a law of evidence which will stand up in court.
  • Manage, coordinate, and conduct fraud risk assessments to identify weaknesses in the processes and systems and develop and monitor action plans.
  • Manage and conduct client surveys to determine the level of awareness of fraud and corruption and develop and monitor action plans to proactively deter fraud and corruption.
  • Manage and coordinate the compilation of quarterly reports and present findings to the Executive Management and Risk Management and Safety Committee (RMSC).
  • Work within approved budget, develop and implement cost saving mechanisms to ensure no over expenditure.
  • Quantify the loss as result of fraud and corruption and recommend actions to ensure recovery of losses.
  • Manage subordinates’ performance and the development of learning and growth plans to ensure good performance and the development and retention of talented staff.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7)/Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or LLB
  • Diploma in Criminal Justice & Forensic Auditing - an added advantage
  • Fraud Examiner Certification (CFE) - an added advantage
Minimum Experience:
  • 8 - 10 years proven experience in Forensics and Investigations of which 3 - 5 years were spent in Forensic Management
